| PT Sumarno
Pabottingi (SP) was founded in late 1982 by Messrs. Sumarno and
Pabottingi who were joined soon afterwards by two other consultants.
The four pioneers had accumulated extensive experience as senior
professionals in multinational management consulting companies.
They also had several years of experience as senior managers in
multinational and large Indonesian companies. Their educational
background, professional experience and managerial experience enable
SP to provide a wide range of consultancy services combining modern
management technology and full understanding of the Indonesian business
and cultural environment.
SP was established
in response to the urgent needs of state enterprises for consultancy
services in the management and financial area. Immediately after
its establishment, SP was entrusted by the two largest enterprises
in Indonesia, the State Oil Company (Pertamina) and the State
Electricity Company (PLN), to render its services as in-house
consultants. Their first assignments covered key areas such as
capital structure and investment financing strategy. These assignments
were successfully completed and led to a rapid extension of the
range of SP's consultancy and a steadily expanding list of clients.
SP's clients now include government agencies, public corporations
and foreign and domestic companies in the private sector.
